Summary of China’s Aluminum Industry Chain Import and Export Data for December 2025

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in December 2025, China imported 14.67 million tonnes of aluminum ores and concentrates, down 1.7% year on year; for the January–December period, cumulative imports totaled 200.53 million tonnes, up 26.4% compared with the same period last year.
In December, China exported 210,000 tonnes of alumina, up 9.3% year on year; from January to December, cumulative exports totaled 2.55 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 42.7%.
In December, China exported 540,000 tonnes of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, up 7.7% year on year; from January to December, cumulative exports totaled 6.13 million tonnes, down 8.0% compared with the same period last year.
In December, China imported 320,000 tonnes of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, up 7.1% year on year; from January to December, cumulative imports totaled 3.92 million tonnes, a 4.6% increase compared with the same period last year.
